Gus gave us a very competitive quote to create a xeriscape front yard. He worked in conjunction with our landscape designer Kathy Oberg (fairyyardmother.blogspot…). He has a wide background of experience, and is always learning the latest about irrigation, water conservation and other specialties. He did a great job for us, and his followup has been really important because it can talk a year or more for a new yard to fill out and survive the extreme hot temperatures of the summer and occasionally frosty winter nights.

My husband and I have really enjoyed working with Gus and his employees. Gus is great in person, helping us come up with ways we could keep to our budget. His initial quote is very competitive and I never felt that he was price gouging us in any way. His employees are great! They always came on time in the morning and worked so hard. They are super respectful of your privacy and space. Even though I was home by myself most days, as a woman I still felt comfortable with them around.

Gus is very knowledgeable about his craft and is always taking classes to improve his skills and knowledge base! I have appreciated his punctuality, promptness at responding to my inquires, respect for our budget and what we could do, and respect for our property. I know we didn't have a large budget but he never made us feel like we were low priority as a result.

I have worked with Alma Gardening at several of my apartment communities now and they do a good job of maintaining the sites. They mow, edge, fix the irrigation, blow the common areas and parking lots, and are very quick to respond when we have leaks or water is being wasted.

We have a 91 unit building in Van Nuys that was in need of TLC when they took over. They have nursed the plants back to health and the grass is now green and lush again. We appreciate their dedication.
